Depuis trois décennies, cette énergie a connu des innovations et des bouleversements majeurs dans son fonctionnement et son efficacité. Alors que les premières éoliennes produisaient quelques kilowatts à peine, les éoliennes actuelles permettent de produire jusqu’à 5 MW sur terre et jusqu’à 12 MW en pleine mer! Une éolienne de nouvelle génération d’une puissance de 4 MW, produit l’équivalent de la consommation de 3000 foyers.
Par ailleurs, les fabricants d’éoliennes développent constamment de nouveaux algorithmes permettant de diminuer significativement le bruit généré par la rotation des pales. Ces algorithmes s’activent automatiquement en fonction de la vitesse et la direction du vent! Il existe une technologie fiable de « peignes » que l’on installe au bord des pales et qui réduisent considérablement le bruit du rotor en rotation.

Le soleil est une source d’énergie potentiellement inépuisable, les scientifiques estiment qu’il brillera encore pendant 4 à 5 milliards d’années. Une éolienne et une centrale PV de 5MWc produisent chacune 6 millions de KWh par an, soit la consommation annuelle de 1700 foyers et ce qui permet d’économiser 180 tonnes de CO2/an.

Les communes, EPCI, département et Région perçoivent des retombées fiscales significatives des projets éoliens et solaires. Une éolienne de 4MW par exemple rapporte en moyenne 9000€/an à la commune d’implantation du parc et 16 000€/an à l’EPCI.

Le secteur éolien représente plus de 17 000 emplois directs et indirectes et il est estimé que la filière photovoltaïque pourrait créer jusqu’à 25 000 emplois d’ici 2023.

En 2019 le coût moyen de l’éolien terrestre français était situé à 65,4€/MWh et celui du photovoltaïque au sol à 48€/MWh. Les deux énergies sont donc aussi voir plus compétitives que le coût complet du nucléaire existant (62,6€/MWh) et le photovoltaïque a même atteint des coûts similaires à ceux du marché traditionnel de l’énergie.

Une garantie financière couvrant le coût de toutes les opérations de démantèlement est mise en place pour les parcs éoliens et est versée obligatoirement avant l’installation du parc. ET DEMAIN ?

L’objectif à long terme de l’accord de Paris sur le climat, adopté lors de la COP21, est de maintenir le réchauffement climatique en dessous de 1.5°C. Cet accord vise la neutralité carbone.
Concrètement, pour atteindre la neutralité carbone, les émissions de gaz à effet de serre devront être diminuées de 55% d’ici 2030 et être divisées par 6 à l’horizon 2050 (par rapport à 1990).
Pour espérer atteindre ces objectifs d’ici 2050, il est nécessaire de répondre à l’explosion de la demande en électricité qui viendra compenser l’abandon progressive des énergies fossiles.

Comment répondre à l’augmentation forte et rapide de la demande en électricité ?
L’éolien et le photovoltaïque sont des énergies vertes, compétitives et qui pourront être rapidement déployées sur le territoire.
